Deuteronomy 28

Blessings for Obedience 1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: 3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
 4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
 5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
 6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
 7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
 8 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
 9 The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in obedience to him. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. 11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.
 12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

When we are obedient to the Lord, He will not fail us. Our Father wants us to succeed and to trust in Him. We need to be obedient to where he is leading us, and calling us. If God told you to move would you? If God told you to quit your job would you? Leave your friends? It's not as easy as it sounds, and when it comes down to it most people wouldn't.

How can you obey God this week?

Thank you Lord for the Cross, and for the blessing that you give to us in response to obedience. I pray that we as individuals and as a community would learn to be more obedient to your word and would continue to fall into your limitless love every single day!

Everything Skit

It has been unreal how much growth I have had in the last 4 years. This was the very start of it and shares my story almost identically to how I would say it. This sparked something in me that was life changing. I'm so glad I got to be apart of it and especially with everyone else who was in it. I pray that they would continue to seek the Lord, and not forget what great things He has blessed them with.

Thanfulness

I am so incredibly thankful for everything that the Lord has provided me with in the past month. I am overjoyed by the love and faithfulness of our Father. We are His children. I am His daughter. He wants me to succeed. He wants to spoil me, and I definitely do feel spoiled. He has shown me I need to take risks, I need to plant the first seed in order for Him to make it grow. It's not easy, and it is very scary but it is so rewarding. Why are we living comfortably? We should be living radically. Living for God in a way that is challenging to us, taking what the bible says and doing it.

What are you doing that is challenging your life? How are you making a difference for the Kingdom?

It looks different for everyone. And almost every church service no matter what topic, part of the bible you read is focused on these questions. How are you living for God? Are you living for God?

We need to be a culture that lives for the King, Our Lord.

Thank you Jesus that you died for our sins! Thank you Father for your love and compassion and faithfulness that you continually show to your children. Thank you Spirit for guiding us and leading us exactly where we should go. All Glory Honor Power to You forever and ever
Amen

Morning

Every morning when I wake up I try to get up early enough to have some quiet time read my bible and drink my coffee. This has started being routine and I feel like each day I am blessed by reading the Word, one of my favorite verses is Hebrews 4:12
  "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
Each morning I read something new comes alive. This week I'm reading Deuteronomy... Once I finish a book I switch from OT to NT. Last week I was reading Acts... before that 1 & 2 Chronicals.. etc.

This morning I woke up really tired, and not really wanting to read but I read Deut. 11/12. It was about loving and serving the Lord. This is an excerpt of Deut. 11

So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the LORD your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— 14 then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. 15 I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.
16 Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. 17 Then the LORD’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut up the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the LORD is giving you. 18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, 21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.
22 If you carefully observe all these commands I am giving you to follow—to love the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him and to hold fast to him— 23 then the LORD will drive out all these nations before you, and you will dispossess nations larger and stronger than you. 24 Every place where you set your foot will be yours: Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. 25 No one will be able to stand against you. The LORD your God, as he promised you, will put the terror and fear of you on the whole land, wherever you go.
The very first part of this verse, so if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today-- To love the LORD your GOD and to serve him with all your heart and all your soul. If I'm honest, I don't know if I do that. Serve God with all my heart, and all my soul. I can't wait to focus on serving him with all that I am, my being, my soul.

After I read Deuteronomy I read a psalm, which is not part of my rutine usually however I decieded to this morning and I picked psalm 30 because today is Nov. 30th.

will exalt you, LORD,
for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
2 LORD my God, I called to you for help,
and you healed me.
3 You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead;
you spared me from going down to the pit.

4 Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people;
praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.

6 When I felt secure, I said,
“I will never be shaken.”
7 LORD, when you favored me,
you made my royal mountain[c] stand firm;
but when you hid your face,
I was dismayed.
8 To you, LORD, I called;
to the Lord I cried for mercy:
9 “What is gained if I am silenced,
if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
10 Hear, LORD, and be merciful to me;
LORD, be my help.”

11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent.
LORD my God, I will praise you forever.

Thank God for the beautiful day today! Pray that we can learn to serve and obey his commands with our whole heart, and soul all the days of our life.

Mercy

So I am thinking about giving blogging another try...

I have a new laptop so I think it will make it easier for me to type out my thoughts and my thinking more because I have this laptop.

Someone spoke to me prophetically and gave me the word Mercy and that I had the gift of Mercy... Now I thought I studied spiritual gifts and I didn't know that mercy was one of them. I just researched it and realized yes it is. It is a spiritual gift and one that is commonly unreconginizable. I started to research it a little more and found more information on it and how it is really awesome and I totally do have that gift. God has given me the gift of mercy and I need to embrace it more.

Also... Update on Brent.
He is still in coma but is starting to move around more. He does physical therapy and is breathing on his own, this is a big blessing from the Lord and I can't wait for him to wake up. To me it seems like a dream because I never use to see him or his family and now I see them a couple times a week and I still don't see him. It's kinda like he's still around here at school and I just don't see him because I never did... This is the first year we didn't have any classes together, at the beginning of the year I thought that was good so then I didn't have to remember all the memories with him but I still do and it's like he's still around and not hurt but unfortunately I am very wrong. He is still critical. Keep praying for him and for parker and both families. Parker is going to be in a lot of trouble as things keep popping up that aren't in his favor...
